Work with me

Laura Davies - Counsellor - Dip MBACP

Are you experiencing feelings that you no longer want? Are there elements of your life that you would like to see change? You may feel overwhelmed, anxious, stressed, depressed, lonely, confused or lacking in confidence. I can help you to untangle your thoughts and find ways to break cycles.

Our work together may include:

  • Making sense of what has happened and developing a different way of viewing things.

  • Exploring and understanding specific events that stick in your mind.

  • Processing and addressing difficult feelings, emotions and relationships.

  • Addressing self-criticism, challenging patterns, changing behaviour and self-care.

  • Identifying options, making decisions, and planning next steps.

My work is integrative which means that I draw upon a wide range of different therapeutic models and theories to support my clients. This bespoke approach allows your needs to guide our work. Through self-exploration, within a professional, confidential, non-judgemental environment, you can explore, understand and challenge the thoughts, feelings and actions that are negatively impacting your life. Together we can identify ways of bringing about positive change.

Availability & fees

My availability

I offer daytime and evening sessions, Monday-Friday, and some Saturday morning sessions.

I offer both telephone and online counselling sessions and I am currently taking on new clients.

Many clients choose to meet with me in a regular slot every week as they feel that they benefit from the structure that this brings. However, I believe that it is important to offer flexibility regarding when, and how often, I meet my clients. You may not be able to commit to meeting on the same day at the same time each week. You may be a shift worker or have caring responsibilities. We can talk through how we can manage your counselling support to fit with your work or other life commitments.

Whatever your circumstances, please feel free to ask about the flexibility I provide. I am committed to removing barriers that might make it difficult for you to get the support that you need. Please also note that there is no expectation that you commit to a minimum or maximum number of sessions. You are free to finish counselling whenever feels right for you.

My fees

I offer one to one counselling for adults (18+)

Telephone and online sessions cost £50 and last for a full hour. Payments are made by bank transfer.

Student counsellors studying for a counselling qualification are eligible for a discounted rate – contact me for details.

Take the next step…

It is important to take the time to find a counsellor who is the right fit for you. Asking for help is an important step and seeking professional support is not self-indulgent or a sign of weakness. Counselling can support you when you are struggling and need your life to be different.

If you would like to arrange an introductory call, please contact me via email or by using the form below. When you contact me, we will agree a good time to speak.

In our initial call you can talk me through what has brought you to counselling and the type of support that you are looking for. I’ll explain how I work and how we would work together. I will ensure that we have time for me to answer any questions that you have.

If, following our call, you decide that you would like to work with me, we can book your first counselling session. Please note that if we work together there is no expectation that you commit to a minimum or maximum number of sessions. You are free to begin and finish counselling whenever feels right for you.
